Beaded Stick Pin Embellished Tag

With only a few leftover beads, a long sewing pin, and some metallic paint, create a beaded stick pin embellishment that transforms a tag from basic to beautiful.

Make a Beaded Stick Pin for a Fall Gift TagFor this beaded stick pin, I began with a basic straight sewing pin with a ball-shaped head.   The plastic head of the pin can be colored using paint (I used Jaquard Lumiere Paint in Sunset Gold).

A focal bead combined with smaller accent beads often works well if the pin is the focal point of the project.  A small dot of thick glue, like Beacon Fabri-Tac, works to keep the beads from shifting on the pin.
