Doodled Tag from Jen Goode-Tag Tuesday
Today’s tag features doodled art from Jen Goode of JGoode Designs!
Jen is an amazing crafter, a licensed artist, and has her own store on CafePress featuring her designs. She’s also a good friend who has agreed to be a guest artist on Tag Tuesdays while I’m taking a much needed summer break. Here’s what Jen has to say about her Doodled Tag:
“Take a piece of book board, create a little doodle design, color it and add some sparkle and you’ll have yourself a fun tag you can add to all kinds of gifts and decor. You don’t need a pile of special tools or techniques, just a pen (color of your choice) and your own imagination. I tend to create patterns and fill surfaces with common line art such as flowers, squiggles, dots and dashes. You can draw anything!
I started with a black book board flower shape that already had a hanging loop built in. I drew my doodle with a black Micron pen. I then colored it with water color pencils, used a water pen to blend the colors a bit and set aside to dry. Later I came in with a few different colors of Smooch ink to make it sparkle and then added a single gem piece in the middle. You could use any kind of ribbon or twine to hang your tag, I chose a simple piece of cotton cord.”
Thanks Jen, for sharing your art with us! See more of Jen’s work next week on Tag Tuesday, when she shares tags made from scrap silk and fabric.
