Making your own gift tags is a great way to personalize gift wrap for the winter holiday season, and they don’t have to take a lot of time. Using die-cuts and punches make cutting pieces easy, and gluing on shaped buttons is a quick way to add dimension and take care of odd-shaped pieces.
I die-cut the tag from white cardstock, and misted it with Smooch Spritz (Clearsnap) to give a silver shimmery winter look. A heat tool will speed up the drying time if desired.
To make the snowman, I edged 3 punched white circles (1.5, 1, and .75″) in light blue ink and used them to build the snowman base on the left side of the tag. Then the addition of the hat, black buttons, mittens, and sign buttons gave him his dimension (I used these Snowman Parts buttons.). I added a face and arms, drawn with Clearsnap Smooch, and tied a scrap piece of dotted ribbon to finish the tag.
Now he’s all ready to welcome winter with open arms!
