Beaded Stick Pin Embellished Tag
With only a few leftover beads, a long sewing pin, and some metallic paint, create a beaded stick pin embellishment that transforms a tag from basic to beautiful.
For this beaded stick pin, I began with a basic straight sewing pin with a ball-shaped head. The plastic head of the pin can be colored using paint (I used Jaquard Lumiere Paint in Sunset Gold).
Once the paint is dry, thread the pin with coordinating beads. The number of beads can vary depending on the length of the pin and the chosen beads. A focal bead combined with smaller accent beads often works well if the pin is the focal point of the project. A small dot of thick glue, like Beacon Fabri-Tac, works to keep the beads from shifting on the pin.
I added my beaded stick pin through the satin ribbon on a fall-themed tag with silk leaf accent.
A stamped sentiment finishes the tag, which would be perfect for adding to a gift or another larger project. I envision this tag attached to a freshly baked loaf of bread wrapped in a tea towel for a warm and elegant fall presentation.
Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Tag Tuesday!
Until next time…
