Fall Fabric-Backed Stamped Tag–Tag Tuesday
As Thanksgiving preparations are in full swing here at CSD HQ, I have a super-quick tag to share today on Tag Tuesday. Need a last-minute tag for a hostess gift? This will take less than 5 minutes to create and you’ll be out the door in no time. It would also work well as a placecard tied around a napkin, and is easy enough for older kids to handle on their own.
I started by punching a 3″ oval shape using an “extra-giga” craft punch from Marvy Uchida. An oval cutter could also be used, or in a pinch trace a handy circular object and cut out with scissors. Since the tag itself is fairly streamlined, I chose an elaborate leaf design stamp to be the focus of the tag, and stamped the image in dark brown ink.
To give the tag a bit of texture, I cut a rectangle of scrap fabric slightly larger than my oval and glued it to the back of the tag, fraying the edges to give a slightly rustic look. In keeping with the homespun look, I used a simple thick cotton bakers’ twine as the tag tie.
If you are celebrating American Thanksgiving this week, have a great one! If not, have a fabulous week anyway, you deserve one.
Also, if you missed them last week, don’t forget to download your FREE canning jar holiday gift toppers (at the bottom of the page).
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time…
