Birthday Calendar Gift Tag

Mark a friend’s big day by making it the focus of a calendar-style birthday gift tag. This birthday calendar tag personalizes a premade calendar embellishment using a few stamps, a button and some rub-on numbers.

The blank calendar embellishment came already printed and aged, so I began by using brown rub-on numbers to mark the birth date. I wanted to emphasize the date a little more than the brown could on its own, so I used orange ink and a circular “birthday” stamp to add the words around the number.

The “happy” portion of the sentiment was stamped in brown ink on a rusty orange cardstock strip. I trimmed the ends of the strip into a “v” shape to mimic a banner flag and added a pretty coconut shell button containing flecks of all the tag colors to tie them all together.
